We stopped here for only 1 night on our way to the Cayes and it was just what we expected from a Best Western. The reason we picked this hotel was because we just wanted a decent bed for a night while we planned the next step, after we arrived in Belize. For this, it was perfect. The room was large and the bed comfortable. It had both a ceiling fan and an AC unit, which were really needed during the day, as it was very hot when we visited.
The pool area just outside the room was great, with a bar and wooden decking surrounding a decent sized pool, great for cooling off! The restaurant was good - better for dinner than breakfast though. This is probably because we had buffet breakfast quite late in the morning, and when you do that, you take your chances that the food has been sitting under the lamps for a while. However, the dinner we had was brilliant! The chicken burger that I had was huge and the batter it was cooked in was sublime. The best chicken burger ever! The staff was polite and helpful and ordered a taxi for us after checkout, helpful as the hotel is not central. As it is on the main road, it doesn't take long to get into town. There is a business centre, but internet use costs extra. In short, because of its location, it wouldn't have suited us for a longer stay, but was ideal for our 1 night's rest before heading out to the cayes.
